Just a regular guy who likes to drink beer, reviewing beers he has drunk. Pretty simple, right?

La Choulette de Printemps: A French surprise.
I was able to pick up this artisanale beer at the Foire aux fromages et aux vins de Coulommiers while visiting there with a buddy, the same buddy who gave me the guest review a couple posts back. This particular brew is one of three types, and is marketed as a Bière de Garde due to its medium body, sweet after-taste, and medium-dark colour. It's got a pleasant , light-malty flavour and smells of light hops and cellar must. The head is little to none, and I was surprised at how smooth it was, all the way to the bottom of the glass. The abv sits at 6 percent, and overall, I really liked this one. I'll have to search for a local vendor , as the price was a bit expensive being it was sold at the above listed "cheese fair". Definitely recommend this one for social drinking and hot days.
